It is amazing how time changes things, molds my thinking, shifts my perspective, and marches on despite my attempts to slow its passage. For one thing, I never thought I would be a "blogger," but here I am.
My plan is to use this as a forum to track the changes in my thoughts about education. I hope to challenge myself and others to examine their ideas and beliefs about education and the students in the classroom. I am most interested in equity, curriculum, and student attitudes toward school; however, the bulk of this blog for the next six weeks will focus on the integration of Social Studies and the Arts into the K-5 classroom as part of my coursework.
